Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Virtual Finance Platform operated by
Contrail Financial Consulting ("Contrail," "we," "us") as part of our Financial Model Build &
Support consulting services. By authorizing access to your QuickBooks Online account, you
agree to these Terms.
Service Description
The Virtual Finance Platform is an internal tool used by Contrail Financial to deliver financial
consulting services. The platform connects to your QuickBooks Online account (with your
authorization) to pull financial data, which we use to produce monthly variance reports, financial
analysis, and related consulting deliverables as described in your engagement agreement with
Contrail Financial.
Authorization and Access
By connecting your QuickBooks Online account to our platform, you:
- Authorize Contrail Financial to access your financial data in read-only mode
- Confirm that you have the authority to grant this access on behalf of your organization
- Understand that this access supports the consulting services outlined in your engagement
agreement
You may revoke this access at any time through your QuickBooks Online account settings.
Data Handling
Your financial data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- We access your data in read-only mode only
- Your data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties
- AI-generated commentary uses anonymized data — your company name is never sent to
AI providers - Data is retained for the duration of your engagement and deleted upon request
Consulting Deliverables
Reports and analysis produced using the platform are delivered as part of your consulting
engagement with Contrail Financial. These deliverables are subject to the terms of your
engagement agreement, including any provisions regarding scope, accuracy, and limitations of
financial analysis.
Financial reports and commentary generated through the platform, including AI-assisted
analysis, are intended to support business decision-making and do not constitute audited
financial statements, tax advice, or legal advice.
Limitation of Liability
Contrail Financial provides consulting services and financial analysis on a best-efforts basis.
While we strive for accuracy in all reports and analysis:
- We rely on the accuracy of data in your QuickBooks Online account
- AI-generated commentary is reviewed by Contrail personnel before delivery but may
require additional context or adjustment - Our analysis and reports are not a substitute for professional audit, tax, or legal services
Contrail Financial’s liability is limited to the fees paid for the consulting services under your
engagement agreement.
Termination
Either party may terminate the QuickBooks Online connection at any time. You may revoke
access through your QuickBooks Online settings. Upon termination of your consulting
engagement, we will discontinue data access and delete stored data upon request.
